This article is dedicated to people who live outside of Pakistan & want to visit Lahore, Pakistan. So here is goes
I live in USA & I've visited Lahore many times, Now Lahore is a great city itself and is populated with all the good stuff, However there are few things that I would like to mention.
Just so you know Lahore, Pakistan is the capital of Punjab and is the 2nd largest city in Pakistan (After Karachi).it is often called the Garden of Mughals because of its rich Mughal heritage.
Weather in Lahore is extremely HOT in summer & Extremely cold in winter. if Summer wont kill you then the dust and hot winds will. One of the biggst challenges I faced in Lahore Pakistan was the DUST. it is almost everywhere & if someone tell's you there are few area's which are considered rich and are total dush free THAT IS BUNCH OF BULL CRAP. if you lived in Europe or north America then its almost useless to compae Lahore with your country.
Transportation is even worse in Lahore. There is no system for Traffic Signal's, One Way/Two Way or "Drive in your Lane" Law.everyone have their own rules. I am a GOOD driver in states but I cannot drive in Lahore at all. And yes there is no GPS which you can rely on.
Politics... No comments, its out of control & outside the scope of this article and I wont waste my time writing about useless stuburn leaders.
So what is good about Lahore? many things... for example everything is repairable in Lahore, in States if something breaks most likely we return it to manufacturer or we change the entire part, but in Lahore they can repair pretty much everything.
Not 100% but quite a few group of people are really nice and friendly (be warned few are extremely dangerous). Food is also tasty, very good resturants and eveything is Halal.
So if you are planning your first trip to lahore pakistan, then prepare yourself. Find yourself a GOOD Hotel to stay in, Make sure you have a Driver & Air conditioned car, and most importantly MAKE CERTAIN that you have relatives or friends in Lahore otherwise its pretty understandable that you will get robbed or something.
its always a good idea to explore new parts of the word, so do not hesitate and go ahead and visit Lahore.
